As a member church of the Central District of the EFCA, (Evangelical Free Church of America) we are an autonomous congregation exercising a congregational form of government. Leadership is provided by a board of four lay elders, the pastors, and team leaders. Our Statement of Faith can be found here.
In addition to our Statement of Faith, these core values guide our ministry.
We want every part of our ministry to strengthen the penetration of God’s Word into our lives. We believe the Bible to be the revealed, inspired, and inerrant Word of God and the final authority for all Christian faith and life.
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching,
rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness.”
(2 Timothy 3:16)
“Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly.”
We want every part of our ministry to strengthen a lifelong process of becoming more like Jesus that begins when a person becomes a Christian and is empowered by His Spirit.
“I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.”
“And we…are being transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory,
which comes from the LORD, who is the Spirit.”
(2 Corinthians 3:18)
We want every part of our ministry to strengthen expressions of sacrificial love that puts Christ’s command to love one another into constant action.
“Love each other as I have loved you.
Greater love has no one that this, that he lay down his life for his friends.”
“Love must be sincere…Be devoted to one another in brotherly love.”
We seek to nurture families and individuals towards authentic relationships in God's truth.
We want every part of our ministry to strengthen a faith that allows our relationship with Christ to impact every thought, every deed, every action, every part of us, every day of our lives.
“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the LORD Jesus,
giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”
We want every part of our ministry to strengthen Christ-honoring relationships in and Christ-honoring purposes for every family, no matter what it looks like – traditional, single parent, blended, kids, or no kids. Healthy families are a powerful testimony to the gospel of Christ.
“So that in every way they will make the teaching about God our Savior attractive.”
(Titus 2:10, after teaching on household relationships)
